in mу diary daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and views online. Please let me know if you have any kind of recommendations or tips for new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!
Good Day Allan,
The companies that we run, have not done much in the way of blogging, however I do have one or two customers that blog, so I will share what I have heard from them with you…
1) Keep it fresh (if your looking to commit to a blog make sure you keep it fresh with up to date information). The info should be relevant although more importantly make sure the information or blogging in this case is consistently updated with new information. It really will become a task (and may at times a one sided task) , so be ready for that if your looking to engage people and keep them engaged.
2) Try not to be opinionated, if your new at business in general, opinions will usually not serve you well. On the flip side be ready for many others expressing theirs freely.
3) Clearly map out a plan. If your blog is just for fun, then have fun, if it is for business then clearly map out an online business plan. Remember their are millions of others out there starting pages and blogs….the question is, how will yours stand out and how do you get your blog out there.
4) If your using it for business then in your plan you will need to include some way of getting traffic. Again with all of the other random sites out there (and thousands being created daily) do not have the “build it and they will come” mentality (because they will not come on their own). You will need a way to generate traffic, this traffic can be obtained in several way both good and bad. Hope this helps! Ryan
